The history of Najah Relief and Development Organization (NRDO) is a testament to our unwavering commitment to serving the most vulnerable communities in Somalia. It is a story marked by humble beginnings, rapid growth, and an enduring dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. Here, we provide a detailed account of our journey:
A stable, self-reliant, and prosperous Somalia where every individual's basic needs are met.
To empower vulnerable communities in Somalia through humanitarian assistance, skills training, and livelihood programs.
In 2021, NRD’s journey commenced as a grassroots volunteer initiative, born out of a deep desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families facing adversity in Somalia. Our early days were characterized by small-scale yet heartfelt efforts to provide iftar meals during the holy month of Ramadan and to organize Eid celebrations for those who were unable to afford food and festivities. These initiatives were driven by compassion and a commitment to alleviating the immediate challenges faced by the less fortunate.
Our mission is to empower vulnerable communities and foster positive change in Somalia. We believe in taking action to address the most pressing humanitarian needs and to build a more stable, self-reliant, and prosperous future for all. Our work is driven by a commitment to humanitarian assistance, skills training, livelihood programs, and raising awareness on crucial issues. With dedication and compassion, we strive to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve, one step at a time.
